Free Online Education Courses Offered by Reputable Colleges and Universities

With the cost of tuition for a four-year degree dramatically increasing every year, it is becoming much more difficult for many people to graduate and earn their degrees. Fortunately, many people have discovered the existence of free online education courses. Although colleges and universities would prefer that people not know that these programs exist at all, there is a growing movement towards free education, and many adults are taking advantage of what is currently available - at no cost. However, the major caveat of any of these free online education courses is that you cannot earn any college credits towards a degree. Depending on your reasons for learning, whether it's for a job, or simply your own personal growth, learning online for free might be a good solution to the rising cost of college tuition.

Some of the easiest and most convenient free online education courses are actually provided by colleges and universities themselves. You can often find college courses available online in the form of an ebook instruction manual, interactive website simulations, or regular podcasts. Sometimes you will even be able to find actual video of lectures by the professors. These are packed with information and a proxy for actually being present in the classroom. Sometimes, a podcast of ebooks you will find available online is the actual material used in the college course, except you're getting it for free.

You might be extremely surprised by the number of free online education courses that are easily accessible online. You can learn almost any language simply by studying the vast majority of foreign language websites that provide lessons for free. Whether you are interested in learning Greek, French, or Chinese, there are websites both public and private that will provide you with the tools you need to learn the basics of any language. But there are also many official college websites that teach you subjects for free. For example, the University of Nebraska provides a free economics course. Michigan State University will actually give you the materials needed to learn sign language at your own pace - again for free.

The list goes on and on. Covenant Seminary enables students to learn theology. By downloading .pdf files and watching video podcasts, anyone can learn the basics of any subject. Before the current college and university system was ever created, people learned bits of information and knowledge any way they could. Fortunately, we no longer need to leave the comfort of our homes in order to learn how to speak a language, or study any other topic for that matter. If you are unable to pay for college tuition but still want to learn a specific course of study, you may want to take some time and search for free online degree programs.
